2021-2022 Changes
- After 50 years in the same building, Solo has moved to a larger facility that will accommodate growth in our manufacturing and shipping efforts
- Solo’s expansion marks a departure from reliance on international partnerships.
- Solo has invested in two new blow-molding machines and an injection molding machine, which will produce a new series of one-hand and handheld sprayers.
- Solo continues to establish strategic partnerships that will increase distribution capacity.

Our History:
In 1948 the brothers Hans and Heinz Emmerich designed the first small two-stroke engine weighing in at 14.3 pounds, an incredible feat for that time. Shortly after, in 1951, the brothers developed the world´s first engine driven backpack mist blower. Instead of using stationary engine driven pumps with long spray hoses and lots of manpower, the new machines were able to be operated “solo”, by only one person – the birth of our future trademark name.
Today SOLO Incorporated is a world-wide leader and innovator in the production of backpack, hand-held and one-hand compression sprayers. Other Solo products include spreaders, mist and air blowers and cut-off machines. In 2012 we launched a more durable, technologically advanced and innovative brand of cut-off saws for cutting materials such as concrete, steel, asphalt, castings or stone.
Solo products are built tough and made to last. That is why they are the first choice of farmers, professional landscapers, construction and janitorial workers everywhere.
